As I write this, it is 1:25 in the morning, so I’ll keep this quick. I was inspired by the Fairy Tonic in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, so I decided to make my own 3D model of it. Surprisingly, the hardest part was finding a good solution for the cork and tonic, rather than the bottle. Since the bottle was glass, I needed a way to make those separate components show up inside, but the faces flush with the bottle fused with it, so they wouldn’t display the cork or liquid materials. I ended up making each a 3D surface, a feature of Inventor I’ve almost never used. Here’s the version authentic to how it appears in-game:
However, I was underwhelmed with how it turned out, so I decided to toss out the restriction of it being a “fairy” item, and redo it in a way that matched up with my interpretation of the game. I ended up with an amber-bottled red health potion, some precious artifact from before the kingdom fell. This is that version:
